Role overview

As the Director of Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by setting the strategy and driving the execution of the strategy for the business development team within Transcenda. This role includes managing a team of BDRs and working closely with Transcenda’s Marketing Team and SMEs to create content that helps enable your team to book meetings for Transcenda’s sales engineers. The BD team is responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and contributing to expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for creating outreach strategies, executing lead-generation strategies with your team, and booking meetings for the Sales Team. Your performance will be measured based on meetings booked and completed with potential.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Management: Hire and manage Transcenda’s BD team including KPIs, compensation plans, and quotas.
  • Collaborate with Transcenda’s Marketing Team and SMEs to generate content and other assets needed for BD campaigns.
  • Lead generation: empower your team to research and identify potential clients through online research, social media, industry events and other channels.
  • Outreach: Set the strategy and messaging for your team to conduct outreach to book meetings with qualified prospects through email, LinkedIn and other channels using digital tools.
  • Messaging: responsible for all messaging and communications as part of the lead generation process.
  • Qualification: evaluate and qualify leads for handover to sales along with nurturing leads not yet ready for conversion.
  • Database management: maintain accurate and up to date records of leads, interactions, and outcomes in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing through the entire marketing and sales process.

Must haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong written and verbal and English communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role such as SDR or BDR with a demonstrated history of quota achievement in lead generation.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a BDR team.
  • Familiarity with CRM and lead generation tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with A/B testing.
