Role overview
The Head of Delivery Management is a member of the management team. This is a business critical role responsible for defining, and delivering programmes and projects across the Transcenda, as well as providing oversight and guidance to all our Departments. Head of Delivery Management leads and manages the team to deliver continuous strategic alignment between IT delivery and the business needs.
Must haves
- Master’s degree in Management.
- 5 years of project delivery experience, of which some should have been spent in the IT sector.
- Extensive experience of managing cross-functional teams delivering scalable, robust IT products, as well as fast-moving, learning-based and agile environments.
- Extensive experience of scoping, shaping, planning and delivering complex and strategic initiatives.
- Proven track record of having established successful business relationships, and have influenced and engaged with operational stakeholders.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner with proven stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and advertising industry.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English.
Key responsibilities
- Define and gain consensus around the delivery approach and plan across the different phases of technical development and acceptance across Transcenda, our technology partner and any other third-parties.
- Produce and maintain a high-level plan across your area of responsibility that covers activities of all teams involved, not just technology.
- Ensure that robust delivery plans exist and are used to coordinate delivery to ensure that the project outcomes are positive and project goals are accomplished.
- Monitor delivery progress, taking appropriate action to deal with anything that threatens our ability to hit milestones,.
- Early and clear communication of any risks and issues that threaten our ability to deliver on time and subsequent management of these items until resolved.
- Identify and manage dependencies, both inbound and outbound, to ensure that impacted parties are clear what needs to be delivered by when and then drive progress until delivered.
