Own your future

Our culture isn't something people join, it's something they build and shape. We believe that every person deserves to be heard and empowered. If you're on the fence about whether you're a fit, we say go for it. Let's build something great together.

We're looking for a Design Director to serve as a senior design presence within a strategic client account. You'll be responsible for ensuring world-class design execution, building strong partnerships with client stakeholders, and driving delivery outcomes from a design perspective.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends strategy, execution, and leadership. You'll collaborate with the client Design SVP, Design Directors, and other stakeholders, shape product direction through workshops and research, and serve as the primary design liaison for engineering and product counterparts. You'll also play a key role in supporting client satisfaction (NPS) and account retention and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design execution on client projects, guiding work through delivery while partnering with senior leadership to shape the overall engagement and design approach.
  • Share senior design expertise with designers and Design Leads - providing craft-focused input, helping them strengthen their thinking and output, and raising the overall quality of the work.
  • Serve as a senior design resource for Design Leads - offering input on approach, flagging risks, and helping maintain consistency and quality across workstreams.
  • Work closely with engineering leadership to keep design and development aligned. This includes setting shared processes, resolving handoff issues, and unblocking teams to maintain momentum.
  • Continuously improve how teams work by introducing better critique rituals, tightening documentation practices, and evolving the design system to support faster, higher-quality delivery.
  • Uphold exceptional standards of craft by being the person people go to when something needs that final 10 percent of polish. Know when to advise and when to jump into Figma yourself.
  • Support client-facing design representation, including explaining rationale and facilitating productive conversations when feedback is unclear or misaligned.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure delivery quality supports long-term account success, including retention, satisfaction (NPS), and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to align on goals, prioritize effectively, and ensure design delivers business impact.
  • Contribute to a healthy, high-functioning team environment by modeling strong design culture and collaboration practices.

Must Haves

  • 10+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years in a Design Manager or equivalent senior design leadership role in a B2B product or services company (agency, consultancy, or similar).
  • Strong AI native way of working, with specific knowledge for the best use of the tools for design.
  • Proven success in delivering design outcomes within complex product environments.
  • Strong product mindset and ability to drive results across ambiguous, fast-moving engagements.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and engaging directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach: able to set direction, give clear feedback, and step into Figma when needed.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality products and articulating the thinking and tradeoffs behind them.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and strategy sessions that bring clarity to ambiguous problems.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineers and PMs, including setting shared processes and resolving handoff issues.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to represent design thinking to internal stakeholders and global clients.
  • Comfortable giving direct, constructive feedback that elevates both people and the work.
  • High standards for craft, systems thinking, and operational excellence.
  • Experience working closely with Design Leads, with a focus on mentorship, input, and craft development.
  • Empathetic, trust-building presence within distributed teams, with the ability to foster psychological safety.
  • Proven ability to contribute to and sustain a strong design culture, including systems, rituals, or tools that support team health and growth.
  • Adaptable and resilient in high-growth environments, with a track record of resourceful leadership through change, ambiguity, and scale.
